


Written in 1999 for Rémi Ménard (one of the last students of Marcel Mule in Paris) and premiered in 2000 at the World Saxophone Congress in Montreal, Incertitude is a modern solo for alto saxophone and piano. The piece employs a variety of extended techniques for both instruments which include - slap-tonguing, altissimo, multiphonics, pad sounds and voice for saxophonist/ fingernail scrapes, harmonics and voice for pianist. The total duration is approximately 11 minutes.
